"Welcome to our personal dream, our little corner of paradise!

We met and fell in love in Grenada... but also fell in love with the island! We merged our different talents (trained fine artist meets hospitality specialist) when opening The Aquarium Restaurant, first in 1991 at rented premises and in 1997 at our present site on beautiful Magazine Beach. Our cuisine fuses international dishes with local spices and flavours, inspired by our enthusiastic Grenadian chefs and motivated by Uli’s heart felt hospitality. We aim to create an exceptional but informal culinary experience in a tropical setting, accompanied by excellent wines, good company and warm smiles.

Our boutique hotel, Maca Bana, sits on 2 acres of hillside above the beach and our little
solar-powered haven has been receiving guests since 2006. Rebecca’s artistic soul is reflected in the unique design and architecture of each bana as well as in the creative landscaping; striving to provide an oasis of peacefulness, soulful relaxation and laid-back, inexpensive luxury. Recently, we’ve purchased a small piece of lush rainforest as part of our aim to provide a sustainable luxury product (read more on the ‘Green Luxury’ pages).
